PHILOSOPHY OF ATHLETICS AT ALCOA HIGH SCHOOL
The Athletic Department believes that each student who commits himself, or herself to the Alcoa High School Athletic Program will learn valuable lessons about how to be successful in meeting the challenges of the competitive society of their future. To lead a successful life, the students need to be both mentally and physically alert. They must learn the responsibilities inherent in the commitments of life. Further, they are called upon to approach life positively with a sincere desire to realize their own dignity and self-worth, as well as that of their fellow man. They must learn to cope with the monotony of inactivity through various mental and physical outlets. Each must learn to bounce back in the face of defeat. They must learn and practice the concepts of cooperation and team work. The Athletic Department through its Soccer Program, as well as all of the other athletic programs offered here at Alcoa High School, strives to assist our student-athletes to achieve these goals.

OUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY
First and foremost, we believe in the desire and ability of each and every student-athlete that signs on to play Alcoa High School Soccer. We coach to help all of them to aspire and to develop to their fullest potential. Through the years, our experiences have shown us that each player's potential is far greater than either we, or they could ever realize. Further, that If we work together, goals are set, they are eventually realized and it is amazing what can be accomplished!
4. Implement a principle of general as well as specific adaptation. Our goal is to make sure the athlete finish their careers knowing they maximized their potential and performed at their best when it counted the most. | |
